She was said to be the creator of the universe and all it contains, and she governs how it functions. Neith was an early ancient Egyptian deity who was said to be the first and the prime creator. Notably, out of the four statues of gods in the Sanctuary of the Great Temple at Abu Simbel, Ptah's is the only one which always remains in shadow during the days when the sun rays align with the temple's axis. Ptah is a creator god of craftsmen and architects who existed before all other things and by his will thought the world into existence. They are from the oldest surviving records and are the first deities in the whole Egyptian mythos.
